Welcome to Calder for Congress
“As Maine goes so goes the nation” – Let’s make those words mean something again, and lead the way to a brighter future for our state and our country!
A message from Patrick: I want to serve in Congress because I’m a normal guy who is tired of so called elitists telling me that they know better than I do about how to make our country better, while they do everything they can to destroy the things that made our country great in the first place.
I want to serve in Congress because I love my country and I don’t like the direction that our current representatives in Congress are taking it.
I want to serve in Congress because I believe that the things I have experienced have given me a unique perspective: I grew up in a small Maine town, but have been able to travel the world extensively. I have seen what people need to live, and what they don’t.
I believe that I am exactly the right kind of person to represent the people of Maine. I'm young enough to be optimistic and energetic, yet old enough to have had significant real world experience. I know what hard work is, and I'm willing to do it for the betterment of my country. I'm not a career politician, in fact I've never held public office, and so I know what it is like for real working families in this country. Our founding fathers didn't frame the Constitution with the idea that there would even be such a thing as a career politician, but rather that citizens would step forward to serve their country and then go back to their lives. I'm not a millionaire, nor am I married to one, so I'm not insulated from the harsh conditions that our economy has created, and that our government has only made worse.
Please join me in taking our government away from big donors, big business, and big labor, and returning it to the people who really count: you, the voters.
